I’m a programmer with over a decade of experience. And, of course, I’m now also a content creator.

Even back when I was working as a developer, I often needed to edit images. Our team wasn’t big, and the sliced assets from the visual designer were frequently incomplete. During development, I had to adjust, slice, and tweak them myself.

So I learned Photoshop and CorelDRAW early on, which gave me a bit of a professional foundation for building this image editing tool website later.

Later, as a content creator, I found myself editing images more and more. But I realized that using Photoshop or other professional software actually slowed me down. Most of the time I only needed a very simple feature, yet I had to open an enormous program that felt sluggish and clunky.

I also tried some online image editing websites, but it was hard to find one that brought together all the simple, practical features I wanted. They were either messy jumbles of tools, or they constantly pushed you to subscribe or forced you to watch ads just to use features that were actually pretty basic but were packaged as “premium.” Just finding the right site took up a lot of my time.

One day I asked myself: since I’m an experienced programmer, why not just build one myself?

And so ImageScissors was born.

The features on this site are mainly based on my own usage habits and the standout capabilities I’ve encountered in the software and websites I’ve used over the years. I’ll keep refining it as my experience grows. At the same time, I’ll carefully evaluate the feedback and suggestions you submit through the form to see what’s worth adding.

There’s one thing I wrestled with for a long time: should I add AI features to the site?

After much thought, I decided: no.

I’m a heavy AI user myself, but I want this tool to be simple and focused, with clear, vertical functionality. The output must be free of any hallucination or ambiguity. Input and output should be simple, clean, and pure.

When you use my site, you can get what you need as quickly as possible, without waiting for an AI to finish thinking and then giving you a result you still have to tweak.

I know adding AI features could attract more traffic, but I’d rather have this site serve the people who truly need it.

I hope ImageScissors can genuinely help you. For me, that’s the greatest joy.
